Congratulations to our Iowa State Champion Auctioneer
Jared Chambers of Corydon, IA was awarded the title ‘Iowa State Champion Auctioneer’ on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Iowa State Fair during the Auctioneer Contest Finals.

Kam Hartstack of Clarinda, 3rd runner up, Justin Steward of Wyoming, 2nd runner up, Jordan Cannon, Central City, 1st runner up, and Jeff Graber of Lincoln, MO, reserve champion.
The money raised as part of the annual Iowa State Champion Auctioneers Contest at the Iowa State Fair the Iowa Auctioneer Association (IAA) is being donated benefit three children’s hospitals, Blank Children’s Hospital of Des Moines, University of Iowa Children’s Hospital in Iowa City, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the Twin Cities. Lowe’s Home Improvement graciously donated all the contest’s bidding merchandise. Five local stores supplied Kobalt Tool items for the live auction. Their support has made this event possible.
The contest was held under normal auction conditions and was free for fair goers to watch. The public is encouraged to participate. Nineteen professional auctioneers from Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska competed for the title of ‘Iowa State Champion Auctioneer’ and a cash prize of $1,000. To qualify for this prestigious annual event, contestants must compete in a preliminary auctioneering contest in February during the annual IAA convention.
